| Spa |
| |
| The Landaa Spa is a resort in itself, providing a comprehensive
approach to physical, spiritual and mental well-being, with a special emphasis
on yoga and ayurveda. Secluded open-air treatment areas make the lush tropical
setting an integral part of the relaxation and treatment process. |
| |
| The Spa Complex |
| |
| Located in the heart of the island and stretching down to
sea, the spa complex occupies an elevated 1-hectare (2.5-acre) site, with
10 individual thatched treatment pavilions – four over water, three
in a lush garden setting and three in the Ayurvedic Retreat. Each pavilion
has its own private relaxation area, plunge pool, steam and outdoor showers.
Numerous pathways throughout the beautiful surrounding gardens allow for
leisurely walks pre- and post-treatment. The spa also incorporates a beauty
salon, juice bar, beachfront resting pavilion and retail area. |
| |
| Yoga |
| |
| Yoga at the Resort is a magical experience. Our resident
yogi guides beginners and experienced followers through inspiring morning
meditation and evening enlightenment sessions from a pavilion that “floats” on
the sea. Private sessions are available and the yogi welcomes all guests
for discussions on this ancient spiritual practice. |
| |
| Ayurvedic Retreat |
| |
| Situated within the spa complex, the Ayurvedic Retreat is
designed to stimulate its guests into thinking about, experimenting with
and understanding the fundamental philosophical approach to ayurveda. The
Resort has worked closely with experts from nearby Kerala, India, to ensure
this ancient science of life has been successfully transported to the Maldives.
These experienced Keralan and Sri Lankan therapists and ayurvedic physicians
are highly trained professionals in ayurveda, including ayurvedic pharmacy,
diet, body type, patient approach and the practice of yoga and meditation. |
| |
| The Health Club |
| |
| The Health Club at Landaa Giraavaru is a unique mind-and-body
experience designed to provide physical challenges and mental relaxation.
Maintain your regimen in a state-of-the-art fitness facility featuring
floor-to-ceiling windows, full-length mirrors, surround-sound audio system
and advanced fitness equipment with individual flat screen televisions.
The rustic Maldivian charm of the setting magically stimulates and helps
you unwind, resulting in an ultimate wellness experience. |

| Pool |
| Laze by your choice of three swimming pools at the Resort.
The spectacular 50-metre (164-foot) main pool cantilevers over the lagoon
on the north shore of the island, providing a view of unsurpassed natural
beauty. Unwind with a drink from the swim-up bar, lounge on the sundeck
or in your private gazebo or enjoy a game of chess at the oversized chessboard.
A 20-metre (66-foot) seawater pool “floats” near the main
pool, overlooking the stunning 2-kilometre (1.2-mile) lagoon. Nestled
in the western end of the island, it is the perfect spot to share views
of a romantic sunset.
Kids will love the free-flow children's pool adjacent to the main pool.
A guardian must accompany them if they are under five years of age. |
| |
| Tennis |
| |
| Take a break from aquatic activities to practise your tennis
skills or take lessons from our on-site tennis pro. The Resort's outdoor
tennis court is lit for night play, and complimentary tennis racquets and
balls are available. |
